Description

  • The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian nationals for the position below at the Institute's Headquarters in Ibadan.

Duties

  • Receive, review, and analyze work orders and service requests to determine scope, priorities, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate activities among FMS units, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and seamless project execution.
  • Develop project work plans, schedules, and cost estimates to support timely and efficient implementation.
  • Monitor project and work order execution to ensure tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve technical, operational, and administrative issues that may affect project delivery.
  • Ensure all works comply with approved designs, drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and organizational standards.
  • Implement and monitor materials standardization protocols to promote consistency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct site inspections and track project progress to verify compliance with approved plans and performance targets.
  • Prepare periodic reports on service requests, project status, completed works, outstanding issues, and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate project records and support continuous improvement initiatives within the Project Coordination Unit
  • Any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in BSC in Civil Engineering, Building Tech, or other related discipline along with 2 years of Experience performing a similar role.
  • Prior experience in facilities management, corporate services, construction project management, operations coordination, or within a research institute, international organization, or corporate environment is highly desirable.
