Role Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Power Systems Repair Technician to join our technical engineering team.
  • In this role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain power equipment, specifically Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Inverters, and Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR).
  • You will ensure maximum reliability and performance for both internal inventory and client equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnosis & Troubleshooting: Perform thorough component-level and board-level troubleshooting on faulty UPS systems, single/three-phase Inverters, and AVR units.
  • Repair & Maintenance: Repair or replace defective electronic components (MOSFETs, IGBTs, transformers, control boards, relays, capacitors, etc.).
  • Testing & Calibration: Conduct load testing, input/output voltage calibration, and safety checks on repaired units prior to deployment or customer delivery.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Carry out routine servicing, cleaning, and firmware/hardware inspections for clients' power infrastructure.
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain precise service logs, job cards, repair reports, and inventory parts usage records.
  • Technical Support: Assist the field service team with technical advice and occasional on-site client installations or emergency repair calls.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: Must have 2 - 4 years of hands-on technical experience troubleshooting and repairing UPS, Inverters, and AVRs.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of power electronics, PCB tracing, soldering/desoldering techniques, and circuit schematics.
  • Proficiency using diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, load banks, clamp meters).
  • Solid understanding of single-phase and three-phase power systems.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and good time management.
