The Pharmacy Assistant / Technician will support the efficient operation of the hospital pharmacy by assisting with dispensing, inventory management, stock monitoring, and patient service under appropriate professional supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with dispensing and issuing medications as authorised.
Receive, arrange, and properly store pharmaceutical products.
Monitor stock levels and expiry dates.
Maintain accurate pharmacy inventory records.
Support stock counts and periodic pharmacy audits.
Assist with prescription processing and patient enquiries.
Ensure proper documentation of pharmacy transactions.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy.
Report stock shortages, damaged products, and expired medications.
Comply with pharmacy policies and applicable professional requirements.
Requirements
Relevant CHEW or Pharmacy Technician qualification.
Minimum of 2 - 3 years post-clinical experience.
Good knowledge of pharmaceutical products and pharmacy operations.
Strong attention to detail and good record-keeping skills.
