To handle end-to-end electronic design, going from circuit schematic capture and PCB layout to firmware programming, manual prototype soldering, and hardware debugging.
Key Responsibilities & Technical Expectations
PCB Design & Manufacturing: Create single-, double-, and multi-layer layouts using KiCad, Altium Designer, or EasyEDA. Select components, generate manufacturing packages (Gerber, BOM, pick-and-place files), and liaise with PCB fabrication suppliers.
Assembly & Hardware Debugging: Perform manual soldering (including SMD components), test power rails, route signal paths, and troubleshoot hardware using tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
Firmware Development: Develop and edit embedded C/C++ firmware to interface microcontrollers with sensors, actuators, wireless modules, and displays over communication protocols (UART, I²C, SPI, LoRa, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
Documentation & DFM: Apply basic Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and track design revisions, test logs, and schematic updates.
Candidate Requirements
Education: Minimum ND/HND (or equivalent practical experience) in Electrical, Electronic, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Technical Tools: Familiarity with EDA suites (KiCad, Altium Designer, EasyEDA, or Eagle) and diagnostic lab software/hardware.
Core Competencies:
Practical understanding of analog/digital electronics, ability to read component datasheets and schematics, strong soldering proficiency, and clear technical documentation habits.
