About the Role
The Partnership Manager will lead partnership development, resource mobilization, and stakeholder engagement, with a specific focus on securing institutional and individual donors.
The successful candidate will identify, cultivate, negotiate, manage, and strengthen strategic partnerships that support our client's mission, mobilize financial and non-financial resources, expand program reach, and improve organizational sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Development & Resource Mobilization:
Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with corporate organizations, foundations, development agencies, government institutions, and other stakeholders.
Develop and implement partnership strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective partners and donors.
Prepare compelling partnership proposals, concept notes, sponsorship packages, and presentations.
Secure financial and in-kind partnerships to support programs and organizational growth.
Identify new funding and collaboration opportunities across the NGO, CSR, philanthropy, and development ecosystem.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic partners and donors.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with partners and stakeholders.
Coordinate partnership meetings, reviews, and stakeholder engagements.
Provide partners with timely updates, reports, and appropriate recognition.
Represent our client at conferences, networking events, meetings, and other stakeholder engagements.
Partnership Management & Program Support:
Negotiate and coordinate partnership agreements, MoUs, and collaboration frameworks.
Work closely with program teams to deliver partnership commitments.
Track partnership deliverables, milestones, outcomes, and impact metrics.
Coordinate cross-functional activities to maximize partner value and program effectiveness.
Ensure contractual and partnership obligations are delivered within agreed timelines.
Strategy, Reporting & Communications:
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date partnership and donor database.
Prepare partnership performance reports and dashboards for management and partners.
Monitor developments in CSR, philanthropy, nonprofit, and international development sectors.
Identify emerging trends and opportunities for strategic collaboration.
Support organizational visibility through partner communications, joint campaigns, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in partnerships, resource mobilization, fundraising, or business development within the NGO/non-profit, international development, or social enterprise sector in Nigeria.
Proven track record of securing grants, corporate sponsorships, institutional funding, or strategic partnerships.
Demonstrated experience developing, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships.
Network & Sector Knowledge:
Established relationships within corporate Nigeria, particularly with CSR, ESG, sustainability, or corporate affairs stakeholders.
Strong network among international development organizations and funding partners such as USAID, FCDO, UNDP, and similar institutions.
Strong understanding of crowdfunding, mobile money integration, and co-investment models.
Experience working with government or public-sector institutions is an advantage.
Technical & Professional Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
