Job Summary

  • The Operations Intern will support the Operations team in executing procurement, administrative, logistics, and office support functions.
  • The role provides hands-on experience in procurement processes, vendor management, asset and inventory tracking, and general office operations.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Support:

  • Support the Operations Specialist as required in the procurement process in line with policies and procedures
  • Support the PRiFN project team with the preparation of Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Support the Operations Specialist with the preparation of Purchase Orders outside GPS
  • Support vendor follow-ups and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Support the Operations Specialist with filing of procurement documents

Asset & Inventory Management Support:

  • Support the Operations Specialist in updating the asset register for the Kano Office.

Administrative & Office Support:

  • Support the Operations Specialist in coordinating meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth office operations.

Logistics & Travel Support:

  • Support the coordination of travel arrangements for the PRiFN Team.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Good communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
