We are seeking a highly technical and infrastructure-focused toSenior System / Network Administratorbridge the gap between their complex maritime logistics and mission-critical IT operations. Operating fully onsite from theirTin Can Island, Lagos office, you will be responsible for supervising the entire network architecture, managing Cisco infrastructure, optimizing server virtualization, and overseeing critical technical vendors.
The ideal candidate will transform raw infrastructure metrics and security requirements into robust, high-availability technical strategies that eliminate system downtime, protect terminal data assets, and drive the 24/7 operational efficiency of West Africa's largest maritime terminal.
Key Responsibilities
Proactive monitoring of the entire network infrastructure to ensure maximum levels of availability, performance, and security.
Advanced configuration, management, and troubleshooting of Cisco switches, routers, and network appliances.
Coordination of external IT, telecom, and consulting service providers, supervising compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and delivery quality.
Management and maintenance of server infrastructure (virtualization, storage, backup, and enterprise operating systems).
Implementation and monitoring of cybersecurity policies, firewall management, and Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity plans.
Planning and supervising technology upgrade, migration, and infrastructure expansion projects.
Technical Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in similar roles (System/Network Administrator or IT Infrastructure Specialist).
In-depth expertise in network architectures, routing protocols, VLANs, and advanced management of the Cisco IOS operating system.
Cisco CCNA / CCNP.
Strong experience with Windows Server and/or Linux Enterprise environments, and virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V).
Knowledge of storage architectures (SAN/NAS) and enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Veeam).
