Client, Stakeholder & Meeting Management:
- Serve as the primary day-to-day representative of the company on assigned projects.
- Engage clients to understand project objectives, priorities, budgets, and programme requirements.
- Advise clients on project strategy, procurement options, commercial implications and project risks.
- Manage client expectations and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate communication across project stakeholders and escalate critical issues requiring management intervention.
- Organise and chair project meetings involving clients, consultants, contractors and vendors
- Ensure key decisions, responsibilities and action items are properly documented, communicated and followed through to completio
Project Planning, Programme & Controls:
- Review project briefs and establish appropriate project execution strategies.
- Define project scope, deliverables, milestones, resource requirements and reporting structures.
- Develop and maintain project management plans, programmes, communication protocols and approval workflows.
- Coordinate project kick-off and mobilisation activities.
- Monitor project progress against agreed programmes, milestones and critical path activities
- Identify programme slippage, potential delays and constraints and recommend appropriate corrective or recovery measures.
- Coordinate design, procurement and construction activities against the overall project programme
Design & Construction Coordination:
- Coordinate design teams, specialist consultants and contractors throughout project delivery. Review project and design information at a coordination level to identify gaps, inconsistencies, conflicts and outstanding actions.
- Coordinate drawing reviews, technical workshops, RFIs and consultant responses through to closure.
- Monitor contractor performance against agreed programmes, contractual obligations and project requirements.
- Track construction progress, milestones, quality requirements and areas of delay.
- Coordinate consultant inspections, site reviews and technical assessments.
- Coordinate and monitor contractor submissions.
- Support the resolution of design, construction and site coordination issues and ensure appropriate technical parties address outstanding matters.
Procurement, Commercial & Contract Management:
- Develop and coordinate procurement strategies and schedules in line with project requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate Requests for Proposals, Invitations to Tender and other bid documentation.
- Coordinate vendor and consultant prequalification, tender clarification and evaluation processes.
- Review and compare technical and commercial submissions and support the preparation of recommendation reports.
- Review contracts and advise clients on contractual obligations, commercial implications and project risks.
- Support contract negotiations and consultant or contractor appointments
Risk, Reporting & Project Documentation:
- Proactively identify project risks, constraints and potential delivery challenges.
- Assess the impact of identified risks on programme, cost, quality and project objectives and coordinate appropriate mitigation measures.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project reports, executive summaries, dashboards and presentations.
- Maintain accurate project records, trackers, logs, registers and decision records.
- Monitor project performance indicators and stakeholder deliverables.
Team Leadership & Company Support:
- Lead and coordinate internal project teams and resources.
- Contribute to business development, company process improvement, and strategic initiatives
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Project Management or another relevant discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification, further training or certification in Project Management is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience within architecture, construction, design consultancy, real estate development, or a related environment.
- Relevant professional membership or certification is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects through planning, design, procurement, construction, and completion.
