We're hiring a commercially minded Key Account & Sales Executive to manage, retain, and grow an assigned portfolio of existing distributors, supermarkets, wholesalers, and retailers. This is not a cold-calling role the focus is on keeping accounts active, profitable, well-serviced, and paying on time, while growing the business within each one.
- Relationship management: Own the day-to-day relationship with assigned accounts. Conduct regular visits, understand each customer's buying and payment patterns, and resolve enquiries and complaints promptly.
- Account growth: Increase order size and frequency, secure listings for additional SKUs, cross-sell into unstocked product lines, expand into additional branches, and reactivate declining accounts.
- Collections: Track invoices, credit terms, and due dates. Follow up professionally before and after due dates, secure payment commitments, escalate overdue balances, and reconcile with Finance.
- Order coordination: Take orders and see them through delivery, invoicing, and collection. Resolve shortages, pricing errors, returns, and delivery issues with internal teams.
- Retail execution: Monitor stock levels, prevent stock-outs, improve shelf space and visibility, and support promotions and launches.
- Market intelligence: Report competitor pricing, promotions, and shifts in customer buying behaviour.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate account records and submit regular reports on sales, collections, receivables, growth, and account issues.

- HND or bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Sales, or related field
- Experience in FMCG account management, key account sales, distribution, or credit control is an advantage particularly with supermarkets, distributors, or organised retail
- Working knowledge of invoicing, credit terms, customer statements, and collections
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and follow-up skills
- Good numeracy and attention to detail; proficiency in Excel
- Able to work independently, manage a field schedule, and travel within the assigned territory
Someone who treats every account as a relationship to protect and grow constantly asking whether the customer can buy more, stock another product, expand to more branches, and whether our invoices are being paid on time.
Remuneration: 300,000 - 350,000 per month, depending on experience.
Location: Onsite, with regular visits to assigned customer locations.
