Main Function

  • The IT Manager oversees the hotel's information technology infrastructure, systems, and cybersecurity, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations across all departments.

Role Responsibilities

Systems & Infrastructure:

  • Manage and maintain the Property Management System (PMS), Point-of-Sale (POS), and other operational systems.
  • Administer hotel network, servers, and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Oversee hardware and software procurement, installation, and maintenance.
  • Plan and implement system upgrades and integrations.

Security & Data Protection:

  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect hotel and guest data.
  • Ensure regular data backups and a functioning disaster recovery plan.
  • Promote staff awareness of cybersecurity and data protection best practices.

Support & Vendor Management:

  • Provide IT support and training to hotel staff.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
  • Prepare and manage the IT department budget.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, CCNA, ITIL) are an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' IT management experience; experience with hotel PMS/POS systems is preferred.
