About the Role

  • We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined IT Intern to join our Information Technology team. This role is ideal for a fresh graduate or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in IT support, systems administration, network troubleshooting, cybersecurity, and technology operations.
  • The successful candidate will support the IT team in providing technical assistance to staff, maintaining IT equipment and systems, resolving basic technical issues, and supporting the organization's technology and cybersecurity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to staff for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
  • Support the installation and configuration of operating systems and approved software applications.
  • Assist with user account creation, access management, and basic Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Support network troubleshooting, including connectivity, Wi-Fi, and basic network configuration issues.
  • Support cybersecurity activities, including endpoint protection, system updates, antivirus/EDR monitoring, and security awareness activities.
  • Assist with software updates, system upgrades, and routine IT maintenance.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to the Head of IT or appropriate technical support team.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT incidents, service requests, and resolutions.
  • Assist with IT asset tracking, documentation, and inventory management.
  • Support IT projects and other technology-related activities as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • B.Sc., HND, diploma, or relevant qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduate or candidate with 0 - 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Basic knowledge of IT troubleshooting and technical support.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and good IT security practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
