The Inventory Officer maintains accurate, real-time inventory records and proper stock management across raw materials, packaging, and finished goods that support both event catering and daily individual/corporate food package deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming raw materials, packaging, and supplies.
Maintain optimal stock levels to support both scheduled events and day-to-day food package delivery volumes.
Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile against system/spreadsheet records.
Organize and manage storage areas to preserve hygiene, freshness, and correct rotation (FIFO) of perishable ingredients.
Track material usage per event or delivery order and promptly report discrepancies or shrinkage.
Coordinate closely with the Head of Kitchen and Event Manager to forecast and prepare stock requirements ahead of upcoming events.
Support procurement by liaising with vendors and suppliers, and maintaining purchase documentation.
Monitor perishable stock closely to minimize wastage and spoilage-related losses.
Maintain organized, up-to-date inventory records using spreadsheets or inventory software.
Ensure storage areas meet food safety and quality compliance standards at all times.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of SSCE/OND; experience in hospitality, catering, or food production inventory strongly preferred.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic proficiency with inventory software or spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel/Google Sheets).
Working knowledge of food storage, hygiene, and stock rotation best practices.
