The Insurance Desk Officer is responsible for managing the company's insurance activities, including policy administration, renewals, claims processing, documentation, and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain records of all insurance policies and ensure timely renewals.
Coordinate insurance coverage for trucks, trailers, vehicles, employees, and other company assets.
Manage and follow up on accident, theft, damage, and third-party insurance claims.
Liaise with insurance companies, brokers, assessors, workshops, police, and other stakeholders.
Ensure timely submission of required claim documentation.
Monitor outstanding claims and provide regular updates to management.
Ensure compliance with insurance and statutory requirements.
Identify gaps in insurance coverage and escalate concerns.
Prepare insurance and claims reports for management.
Maintain accurate and confidential insurance records.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree / HND in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields
3 - 5 years' relevant experience.
Experience in motor/fleet insurance and claims management is an advantage.
