Job Summary

  • We are looking for a proactive and people-oriented HR & Recruitment Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, screening, and recruiting qualified candidates to support the company's growth.
  • The ideal candidate must be confident in finding people through different channels, communicating effectively with potential candidates, conducting interviews, and ensuring that new employees are properly onboarded.
  • Experience in recruitment, sales recruitment, microfinance, lending, fintech, or other financial services will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and attract qualified candidates for various positions within the company.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential candidates.
  • Advertise job openings on social media, job boards, recruitment platforms, and other relevant channels.
  • Proactively search for candidates using LinkedIn, Facebook, WhatsApp, referrals, networking, and other sourcing methods.
  • Screen CVs and applications to identify suitable candidates.
  • Conduct initial interviews and assess candidates based on the company's requirements.
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Recruit field officers, loan officers, marketers, customer service staff, and other personnel as required.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of applicants and potential candidates.
  • Carry out reference and background checks where necessary.
  • Prepare recruitment reports and provide regular updates on hiring activities.
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation of newly recruited employees.
  • Maintain proper employee records and HR documentation.
  • Support employee engagement, attendance, performance monitoring, and other HR activities.
  • Help ensure that company HR policies and procedures are properly followed.
  • Build relationships with recruitment agencies, institutions, communities, and other sources of talent.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • 4 - 8 years of experience in recruitment or HR, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to source and identify candidates independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good interviewing and candidate-assessment skills.
  • Ability to use social media and online platforms effectively for recruitment.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work with recruitment targets and deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic HR tools.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information professionally.
