We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Business Development to lead the Company's business development strategy, drive sustainable revenue growth, expand the customer and investment base, and deliver the Company's deposit mobilization, investment, and risk asset targets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the Company's business development and revenue growth strategy in line with corporate objectives.
Lead and manage the Business Development team, setting clear targets, monitoring performance, and driving accountability.
Drive the acquisition and mobilization of deposits and investments from individuals, SMEs, corporates, institutions, and HNIs.
Lead the generation and growth of quality risk assets in line with approved credit policies and risk appetite.
Develop and implement strategies for customer acquisition, retention, portfolio growth, and revenue maximization.
Identify and develop new business opportunities, market segments, strategic partnerships, and distribution channels.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, HNIs, institutional investors, corporate organisations, and other strategic stakeholders.
Drive the marketing and effective positioning of the Company's financial products and services.
Establish and monitor business development KPIs, ensuring achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
Provide regular business performance reports, forecasts, market intelligence, and strategic recommendations to Management.
Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities, trends, and potential business risks.
Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Operations, Finance, Compliance, and other relevant functions to ensure effective execution of business initiatives.
Ensure all business development activities comply with KYC, AML, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
Develop and maintain a high-performance sales culture focused on revenue generation, client service, and sustainable portfolio growth.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
MBA, professional certification, or relevant postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
8 - 12 years' relevant experience in business development, banking, financial services, asset management, investment management, or a related industry, with significant experience in a leadership role.
Proven track record of driving revenue growth, deposit and investment mobilization, risk asset generation, and customer acquisition.
Strong existing network across HNIs, corporates, SMEs, institutions, and other key market segments.
Demonstrated experience in leading, managing, and developing high-performing business development or sales teams.
Strong commercial acumen with excellent strategic planning, sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Strong understanding of financial products, investment solutions, credit, and the broader financial services market.
Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Highly target-driven, commercially minded, proactive, and results-oriented.
