To lead the design, implementation, governance, and continuous optimization of the organization's middleware and integration platforms.
The role is responsible for enabling seamless and secure communication between enterprise systems, ensuring the scalability, reliability, performance, and high availability of integration services that support core banking, digital channels, enterprise applications, and third-party systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
Define and drive the enterprise middleware and integration strategy, ensuring alignment with business and IT objectives.
Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient integration architectures, including API-led, microservices, ESB, and event-driven solutions.
Oversee the operation and management of middleware platforms, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, resilience, and effective lifecycle management.
Lead the delivery and onboarding of integration solutions across core banking, digital channels, internal applications, and third-party systems.
Establish and enforce API management and governance frameworks, covering API design, security, versioning, documentation, lifecycle management, and reuse.
Ensure the security, risk management, and regulatory compliance of integration platforms, including appropriate authentication, authorization, encryption, and data protection controls.
Drive performance monitoring, optimisation, and continuous improvement of middleware and integration platforms using appropriate tools, metrics, and dashboards.
Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, technology vendors, and external partners to ensure effective integration delivery and interoperability.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Middleware and Integration team, fostering innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous technical development.
Provide management reporting and governance oversight on platform performance, integration delivery, KPIs, SLAs, risks, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
Education:
First Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Master's degree or relevant professional certifications is an advantage.
Others: Strong experience with middleware technologies (e.g., ESB, API Gateway, Microservices architecture, message queues such as Kafka, MQ).
Experience: Minimum of 10years' experience in IT, with at least 5 years in middleware/integration leadership roles.
