Exam Preparation: Prepare students intensively for the oral, listening, and written components of terminal regional and international examinations. Cultural Engagement: Introduce students to Francophone literature, music, and traditions, and coordinate activities such as a French Club, language days, or excursions to enhance learning. Assessment & Evaluation: Design, administer, and grade oral and written tests promptly, providing detailed, constructive feedback to support language acquisition. Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and lesson plans, and participate actively in departmental and staff meetings. Education & Experience Requirements Education: A Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed.) in French, or a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in French plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). Additional Certifications: Possession of an international French language diploma, such as DELF (B2 level minimum) or DALF, is highly advantageous. Key Skills: Language Proficiency: Near-native or high fluency (both spoken and written) in French, with excellent pronunciation and a deep understanding of French grammar and syntax. Communicative Methodology: Skill in using modern, interactive language teaching methods (e.g., total physical response, communicative approach) over rigid rote memorization. Patience & Encouragement: Ability to create a safe, low-anxiety environment that encourages students to speak and make mistakes as part of the learning process. Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues. Organization: Strong classroom management and lesson-planning skills to balance oral practice and written coursework within class periods. Other Requirements: Strong digital literacy, including proficiency with language-learning software, multimedia tools, and school management portals. High level of professional ethics, integrity, and passion for multicultural education. Willingness to collaborate with department heads, language laboratories, parents, and school administration. Remuneration & Benefits Salary: Competitive monthly gross salary (N150,000 / Month), commensurate with qualifications, experience, and institutional scale.
