The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the efficient management of all Food & Beverage operations in accordance with Hyatt's brand standards, corporate strategies, and operational policie
The role ensures exceptional guest satisfaction, profitable operations, high service standards, and effective leadership of all F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, room service, banquets, and stewarding.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:
Manage the daily operations of all Food & Beverage outlets.
Ensure compliance with Hyatt brand standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Monitor food quality, beverage quality, hygiene, and service standards.
Conduct daily briefings and ensure smooth coordination between service and kitchen teams.
Ensure guest complaints are handled promptly and professionally.
Financial Management:
Achieve departmental revenue and profitability targets.
Prepare and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
Control food cost, beverage cost, payroll, and operating expenses.
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue.
Analyse financial reports and implement corrective actions where necessary.
People Management:
Recruit, train, coach, mentor, and develop F&B associates.
Conduct performance appraisals and succession planning.
Schedule staff efficiently to meet business demands.
Foster employee engagement and maintain Hyatt's culture of care.
Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies.
Guest Experience:
Deliver exceptional guest experiences consistent with Hyatt standards.
Build relationships with regular guests and VIPs.
Ensure high guest satisfaction scores and respond effectively to guest feedback.
Work closely with other departments to create memorable guest experiences.
Food Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations.
Ensure all licensing requirements for food and alcoholic beverages are met.
Sales & Marketing:
Partner with Sales & Marketing to promote F&B outlets.
Develop promotions, themed events, and seasonal menus.
Support banquet and catering sales initiatives.
Maximize restaurant occupancy and banquet revenue.
Inventory & Cost Control:
Oversee purchasing and inventory management.
Minimize waste and prevent losses.
Ensure proper stock rotation and storage procedures.
Conduct regular inventory counts and audits.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field.
3 - 5 years of progressive Food & Beverage management experience in an international upscale or luxury hotel.
Experience in an international or luxury hotel brand, preferably Hyatt or a similar global brand.
