Job Description

  • Online Foodstuff Store Limited is seeking an experienced and results-driven Finance Manager to lead and head our Finance Department.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, effective cash-flow management, regulatory compliance, and sound financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Finance Department and provide effective direction to the finance team.
  • Oversee the company's day-to-day financial operations, including payables, receivables, cash management, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure effective management of the company's financial resources.
  • Establish, maintain and strengthen financial controls and accounting processes.
  • Ensure proper documentation and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations, vendor balances, customer accounts and other financial reconciliations.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide management with financial analysis, insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Identify financial risks, control weaknesses and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure proper financial planning and accountability.
  • Supervise, mentor and develop members of the Finance Department.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of the company's financial information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, with significant experience in a finance/accounting leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash-flow management, taxation and financial controls.
  • Experience managing and developing a finance team.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial management practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced business environment.
