Role Purpose

  • The Field Sales Supervisor will be responsible for driving daily field sales, seller activation, and productivity across the company's existing sales network.
  • The role will work closely with the Regional Business Manager to ensure Marketers, Champions, Promoters, and retail partner stores remain active, productive, and focused on achieving sales targets.
  • The successful candidate will be highly field-oriented, actively engaging sellers, visiting stores and markets, generating sales opportunities, reactivating inactive channels, and ensuring leads are effectively converted into sales.

Key Responsibilities

Field Sales & Productivity:

  • Drive daily sales across Sales Marketers, Champions, Promoters, and retail partner stores.
  • Monitor sales activities and ensure sellers remain active and productive.
  • Generate sales opportunities directly from the field.
  • Drive sellers to achieve assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Identify gaps in sales performance and implement actions to improve results.
  • Monitor field execution and ensure sales activities translate into measurable revenue.

Seller Activation & Development:

  • Regularly visit stores, markets, and other sales locations within the assigned territory.
  • Identify inactive and low-performing marketers and sellers.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reactivate underperforming sellers and sales channels.
  • Recruit and activate additional sales channels where required.
  • Coach sellers on customer engagement, product/service presentation, sales techniques, and conversion.
  • Motivate and support sellers to consistently achieve their assigned targets.

Sales Pipeline & Conversion:

  • Track daily sales activities, leads, pipeline, and conversion performance.
  • Follow up on sales opportunities and ensure leads progress through to conversion.
  • Identify new sales opportunities within assigned territories.
  • Maintain strong relationships with sellers, retailers, dealers, and other field partners.
  • Support the team in improving lead conversion and overall sales productivity.

Reporting & Team Support:

  • Provide regular reports and updates on field activities, sales performance, seller productivity, and pipeline.
  • Escalate operational blockers and field challenges promptly to the Regional Business Manager.
  • Provide relevant market feedback and intelligence from the field.
  • Support the Regional Business Manager in achieving the overall Abuja/FCT regional sales target.
  • Work closely with the Regional Business Manager to improve field execution, seller activation, and productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in field sales or a similar sales supervisory capacity.
  • Experience in mobile phones, consumer electronics, telecoms, device financing, or related industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the mobile phone and consumer electronics retail market.
  • Experience working with phone retailers, dealers, distributors, promoters, or similar sales networks.
  • Proven ability to drive sales, generate leads, and convert opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve field sales targets.
  • Ability to coach, motivate, manage, and drive sellers to deliver results.
  • Experience managing marketers, Champions, Promoters, merchants, or similar sales networks is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Abuja/Nasarawa retail markets.
  • Existing relationships within the Abuja/Nasarawa phone and retail ecosystem will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Hausa-speaking ability is an added advantage.
  • Energetic, proactive, target-driven, resilient, commercially minded, and results-oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving and field execution abilities.
  • Must be comfortable spending the majority of the working day in the field.
  • Candidates should ideally be based in Nasarawa or within close proximity to the assigned territory.

Important:

  • This is a highly field-intensive role.
  • The successful candidate must be able to physically visit stores, markets, and sales locations and actively drive sales performance.
  • The role requires someone who can get people to produce results, not simply supervise them.
  • Candidates with generic supervisory experience but limited exposure to the mobile phone/consumer electronics retail ecosystem should not be considered.
