Job Summary

  • The Electrical & Electronics Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving electrical and electronic systems on injection molding machines, extrusion, Pen assembling machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, fault diagnosis, and production machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines.
  • Troubleshoot Electrical and Electronic faults on machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Repair and maintain: Temperature controllers /PLC systems /Sensors and limit switches /Servo and hydraulic control systems /Heaters and thermocouples /Motor drives and contactors
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.
  • Ensure minimum machine downtime and quick fault resolution.
  • Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain proper maintenance records and reports.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new machines and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of HND / BSc in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related field.
  • 2 - 5 years' experience in industrial or injection molding machine maintenance.
  • Good knowledge of: Industrial electrical systems /PLC troubleshooting /Sensors and Limit Switches /Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to use electrical testing tools such as multimeter, clamp meter, and insulation tester.
  • Experience with machines such as: Demag/ HaitianEngel/ Toshiba / Arburg
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and during shift operations if required.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Added Advantage:

  • Experience in plastic manufacturing industry.
  • Understanding of industrial safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Demonstrate the ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings accurately. Be physically fit and capable of working in a factory. Salary / Benefits N250,000 - N300,000 / month. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation. Good knowledge of HSE requirements and safe working practices, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
