Job Summary The Electrical Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical systems, machinery, and equipment within the polythene manufacturing plant. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Conduct routine inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment and production machinery. Diagnose and repair electrical faults on manufacturing equipment to minimize production downtime. Perform corrective maintenance on motors, control panels, drives, sensors, and other electrical components. Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Equipment and Machinery Maintenance: Maintain electrical systems of polythene production machines, including: Blown film extrusion machines. Printing machines. Bag - making machines. Recycling machines. Cooling systems and chillers. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical control panels and automation systems. Ensure proper functioning of PLCs, VFDs, contactors, relays, and circuit breakers. Qualifications and Requirements HND / B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field. 3 - 5 years' experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, industrial automation, and motor control systems. Experience working with extrusion, printing, or packaging machinery is an added advantage. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical drawings. Good communication and teamwork skills.
