We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to oversee the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment, control systems, and instrumentation.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems.
Diagnose electrical faults and instrumentation failures and implement effective solutions.
Monitor and maintain PLC, DCS, SCADA, sensors, transmitters, control valves, and other automation systems.
Perform calibration and testing of instrumentation equipment.
Interpret electrical, instrumentation, control, and process drawings.
Support installation and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, maintenance procedures, and company policies.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts.
Coordinate with production, mechanical, and other engineering teams to resolve operational issues.
Support shutdown, plant maintenance, and improvement projects.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree/HND in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
3 - 5 years of relevant experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing, steel, foundry, or process plant environment.
Good knowledge of PLC, SCADA/DCS, industrial automation, sensors, transmitters, and control systems.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Good knowledge of electrical safety and industrial maintenance practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering/automation tools.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
