We are seeking an engaging and analytical Economics Teacher to help students understand microeconomic and macroeconomic principles, global markets, and personal finance. The ideal candidate will bring real-world economic concepts to life, helping students critically analyze market trends, fiscal policy, and financial systems.
- Plan and deliver curriculum covering microeconomics, macroeconomics, market structures, trade, and economic policy.
- Integrate current events, global market trends, and real-world case studies into classroom discussions.
- Teach students how to interpret economic data, supply and demand graphs, and quantitative models.
- Assess student progress through exams, analytical essays, research projects, and case study evaluations.
- Promote critical thinking around fiscal/monetary policies, economic ethics, and personal financial literacy.
- Collaborate with the social studies department and keep parents and school leaders informed of student performance.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Social Science Education, Finance, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- Licensure: Valid state or national teaching credential for secondary social studies, business education, or economics.
- Experience: 2+ years of teaching secondary or high school economics preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with educational technology, economic simulation tools, and quantitative graphing software.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical ability, strong communication skills, dynamic presentation style, and effective classroom management.
