ROLE SUMMARY

  • The DevOps Engineer builds and maintains PayZeep's CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure and deployment automation, ensuring reliable, secure and scalable platform delivery. The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure that supports PayZeep digital financial products and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure (provisioning, scaling, cost optimization).
  • Implement monitoring, alerting and logging for platform reliability.
  • Support incident response and on-call rotation for production systems.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management practices.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Security on secure deployment practices.
  • Support application deployment activities and ensure seamless release management across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering, Product, Security, and Infrastructure teams to improve development and operational workflows.
  • Ensure system availability, performance, resilience, and disaster recovery readiness of production environments.
  • Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives and infrastructure performance improvements.
  • Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews for critical platform issues.

  • Enforce security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
  • Automate operational processes and repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment procedures.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (required).
  • Cloud certification (AWS/Azure/GCP) is an advantage.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Total Relevant Experience: 5 - 8 years

Fintech / Financial Services Experience: 6+ years supporting infrastructure for fintech, banking or transaction-processing systems preferred

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong experience with CI/CD tooling (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
  • Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
  • Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in high-availability production environments
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows server administration.
  • Experience supporting microservices-based architecture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.

  • Ensures infrastructure and deployment practices align with PCI-DSS and the CBN Risk-Based Cybersecurity Framework.
