We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Cost Management Accountant to provide strong cost accounting, financial analysis, and management accounting support across its manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing production and operational costs, monitoring cost efficiency and profitability, preparing cost forecasts and financial reports, and providing valuable insights to support effective decision-making and cost optimization.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the organization's cost accounting systems, processes, documentation, and records to ensure accurate and effective cost management.
Analyze manufacturing operations, equipment availability, utilization, and operational activities to compile and evaluate cost information.
Collect, analyze, and maintain data on operational costs, including maintaining the expenses database and reporting on actual profit margins.
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities and prepare periodic cost forecasts and related financial reports.
Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs against actual production costs, identifying significant variances and their drivers.
Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions and improvements to business operations, processes, and policies to reduce costs and maximize profitability.
Analyze changes in manufacturing processes and assess their impact on production costs, profitability, and overall financial performance.
Develop cost standards for manufactured paint products and services and provide product sample costing to support the Marketing and Sales functions.
Monitor and report on factors affecting the pricing and profitability of paint products and services, providing relevant financial insights to management.
