Job Description :

  • The candidate will serve as the primary technical and creative resource within GRENCHI's communications team with strong ability to strengthen our external voice in support of our strategic priorities, support the implementation of GRENCHI's communications strategy while providing direct support to the Programs and Development teams.
  • The candidate will be responsible for enhancing GRENCHI's brand visibility, awareness, credibility and accountability through strategic communications initiatives.

Key Duties and Responsibility:

Implementation of GRENCHI's Communication Strategy

  • Support the development, review and execution of GRENCHI's communication strategy in alignment with the organization's overall objectives.
  • Implement the communications department work plan, ensuring set targets, objectives and indicators are achieved.
  • Collaborate with GRENCHI's stakeholders to identify communication priorities and develop tailored messaging for diverse audiences.

Digital/Social Media Management

  • Manage and optimise GRENCHI's digital platforms and social media channels to strengthen visibility and stakeholder engagement.
  • Create high-quality multi-media content, including video, photography, graphics designs, web posts, blog and social media material that powerfully convey

Website Management and SEO Optimisation

  • Ensure GRENCHI's website is regularly updated with accurate, relevant and engaging content.
  • Apply SEO strategies and best-practice techniques to enhance GRENCHI's online visibility and search engine rankings.

Documentation and Storytelling:

  • Conduct interviews and collect impact stories from beneficiaries and partners to showcase the outcomes of GRENCHI's work.
  • Document, edit and package success stories and communication materials for dissemination across appropriate channels.
  • Provide technical support to program staff and partners on effective communication practices, including the development of change stories, photos, documentaries, annual reports and newsletters, among other materials.

Media and Branding:

  • Develop branded communication materials such as factsheets, brochures, annual reports, flyers and newsletters to strengthen GRENCHI's visibility and profile.
  • Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all communications material for GRENCHI.
  • Ensure proper visibility of GRENCHI's brand in all meetings and engagements where GRENCHI takes part.
  • Maintain a media contact database and proactively engage reporters, editors and other media professionals to identify opportunities to promote GRENCHI's work.
  • Any other responsibilities assigned to the candidate by the Director as required

Qualification required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Films/Multimedia Productions, environmental studies or any related field.
  • Additional certification in videography, photography, digital marketing, graphics design or web design will be an added advantage.

Experience and Ideal Requirement:

  • Minimum of 2-3years years of progressive experience. NGO or environmental sector experience is an advantage.
  • Proven experience producing multimedia content (videos, photography, graphic designs)
  • Demonstratable portfolio of creative work showcasing designs, videos and photography content
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and storytelling skills with a strong portfolio of published or produced content. Well-outspoken personnel
  • Experience managing social media accounts
  • Good understanding of social media technologies e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook etc.

Job Description : This Officer will serve as GRENCHI's primary link to all our partners including but not limited to the communities, schools, farmer groups, government, CSOs and traditional leadership structures. This role is people-facing, meaning, it is about entry, trust, mobilization, policy and follow-through at community and state level institutions. He/She will work alongside the Field Operations & Restoration Officer and Communications and Media Officer. Key Duties and Responsibility: Build and maintain trusted relationships with all of GRENCHI's partners. Organize community turnout for planting exercises, trainings, workshops, governance and events as each project demands. Lead stakeholder engagement Serve as the first point of contact for community questions, concerns or complaints about GRENCHI activities and escalate issues appropriately. Coordinate with sub-nationals, ministries, local government officials, institutions and community-based organizations to secure buy-in and smooth project implementation. Work alongside the programme teams during field activities and monitoring exercises. Conduct community-level surveys, needs assessments and satisfaction check-ins and maintain accurate records of engagement activities and attendance. Support the planning and on-the-ground running of programmes. Ensure grassroots advocacy activity is aligned with GRENCHI's overall objectives and strategic priorities. Any other responsibilities assigned to the candidate by the Executive Director as required Qualification required: BSc or MSc in Forestry, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Public Administration, Development Studies or a related field. Additional certification in this field will be an added advantage. Experience and Ideal Requirement: A minimum of 2 - 4 years hands-on experience in community mobilization, outreach or field extension work Fluency in Igbo and English is required Working understanding of Nigeria's environmental and climate policy landscape and of local government structures in Anambra State. Excellent facilitation, public speaking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to move comfortably between grassroots and institutional settings. Excellent organisational, problem-solving and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong report writing skills.
