Job Summary

  • We are seeking a dynamic, commercially minded, and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our team and drive business growth through strategic partnerships with HMOs, corporate organisations, and other institutional clients.

The Role

  • The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships and expanding the Group's healthcare services within the HMO and corporate healthcare market.
  • The ideal candidate must understand how healthcare organisations generate revenue through HMO partnerships, corporate healthcare contracts, employee wellness programmes, referrals and institutional relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect and develop relationships with HMOs, corporate organisations, insurance companies and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Drive the acquisition of new HMO and corporate accounts across Dental, Dermal/Aesthetic and Eye Care services.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve agreed revenue and acquisition targets.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations and service offerings to prospective corporate clients and HMOs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HMO managers, HR professionals, procurement teams, benefits managers and corporate decision-makers.
  • Identify opportunities for corporate dental, eye-care, dermal/aesthetic and employee wellness programmes.
  • Develop strategic partnerships, referral networks and institutional relationships that generate sustainable patient volumes.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and emerging opportunities within the healthcare sector.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and provide regular reports on leads, conversions, revenue and business development activities.
  • Work closely with Clinical, Customer Experience, Marketing and Operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of contracted services.
  • Follow up on proposals, negotiations and contracts through to successful conversion.
  • Develop initiatives to increase utilisation of existing services among corporate and HMO clients.
  • Support client retention, account growth and cross-selling of the Group's healthcare services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 3 - 5 years' proven experience in Business Development, Sales or Marketing, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong experience dealing with HMOs, corporate organisations and institutional clients.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the Nigerian healthcare/HMO ecosystem.
  • Experience marketing or selling dental, eye-care, dermatology/dermal or aesthetic healthcare services will be a significant advantage.
  • Proven track record of generating leads, converting prospects and achieving revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and relationship-management skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify revenue opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a sales pipeline and deliver measurable results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and CRM or lead-management tools.
