We are seeking a energetic, reliable, and detail-oriented Bar Assistant to join our team in Ikoyi, Lagos. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our bartenders, mixologists, and floor staff to ensure smooth bar operations, rapid order execution, and exceptional guest experiences.

- Prepare and stock bar stations before opening, ensuring all garnishes, ice wells, syrups, mixers, and glassware are fully stocked and ready for service.
- Assist in tapping beer kegs, organizing liquor bottles, and setting up tools for bartenders.
Inventory & Stock Management:
- Monitor stock levels of spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages during shifts and replenish bar stations as needed.
- Receive deliveries, unpack stock, and organize storage cellars/cold rooms using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) standards.
- Assist with inventory counts, tracking usage, and reporting spillage or low-stock items to management.
Hygiene & Equipment Sanitation:
- Operate commercial glasswashers, polish glassware, and ensure constant availability of clean glasses for bartenders.
- Maintain clean, sanitized, and organized bar counters, preparation tables, and work areas throughout service.
- Safely collect empty bottles, clean up spills, empty trash containers, and manage waste disposal discreetly.
- Assist bartenders and waitstaff by delivering beverage orders to tables during peak rush hours.
- Assist with crowd control, table clearings (bussing), and maintaining a clean lounge environment for high-profile guests.
- Maintain a polite, helpful, and professional demeanor when interacting with guests and team members.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent minimum.
- 1 - 3 years of proven experience as a Bar Assistant, Barback, or Service Assistant in a high-volume bar, lounge, hotel, or restaurant in Lagos.
- Knowledge of basic bar inventory, beverage prep, and glassware handling.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy crates/kegs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
- High standard of personal hygiene, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
