The Role

  • The Associate Manager, Clinic Operations is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of Reliance Family Clinics to ensure patients receive safe, high-quality, and efficient care.
  • The role oversees clinic performance, leads cross-functional teams, manages budgets, facilities, vendors, and operational projects, and ensures compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • The Associate Manager uses data to improve performance, optimize processes, and support strategic initiatives that enhance patient experience, operational efficiency, and business results.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop clinic leadership teams across Operations, Nursing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, and Medical Services to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient service delivery.
  • Set performance goals, monitor KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching and support to team leads.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellent patient experience.
  • Support workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that improve clinic performance, patient experience, and business outcomes.
  • Monitor operational performance across clinic locations and address challenges to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Lead operational projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring timely execution and achievement of objectives.
  • Manage clinic budgets and operational expenses while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and optimize costs.
  • Oversee the effective utilization of staff, facilities, equipment, and other operational resources.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, clinical governance standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Lead operational audits, risk assessments, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and operational performance.
  • Investigate operational incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions where necessary.
  • Oversee the maintenance, safety, and functionality of clinic facilities, equipment, and physical assets.
  • Manage vendor and service provider relationships to ensure quality service delivery and value for money.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance, upgrades, and operational readiness for new or expanding services.
  • Analyze operational, financial, and patient experience data to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare performance reports and provide recommendations to improve service quality, operational efficiency, and business performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance patient flow, service delivery, and overall clinic operations.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Public Health, Health Administration, Engineering, or another relevant discipline.
  • Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme or possess a valid Certificate of Exemption.
  • Minimum of 8 years' post-NYSC experience in healthcare operations, healthcare administration, or business operations, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Experience managing operations across multiple clinics, branches, or business locations.
  • Experience leading operational projects, managing budgets, and implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance, operational risk management, facility management, and vendor management.
  • Willingness and ability to work onsite and travel regularly across multiple clinic locations.

Nice to Have:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), Health Administration (MHA), Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2), Lean Six Sigma, Healthcare Quality, or Operations Management.
  • Experience leading operations across multiple healthcare facilities or geographically dispersed locations.
  • Experience leading organizational change, business transformation, or large-scale operational improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., HEFAMAA, NHIA, ISO 9001, SafeCare, or similar frameworks).
  • Experience using operational dashboards, ERP systems, healthcare information systems, or business intelligence tools to monitor performance and support decision-making.
