Assistant Workshop Manager At Jb Farms

Responsibilities

• Assist the Workshop Manager in planning and coordinating workshop activities.
• Supervise maintenance and repair of plant, machinery, vehicles, and equipment.
• Ensure timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Monitor workshop operations to reduce downtime and improve equipment availability.
• Maintain maintenance records, job cards, reports, and spare-parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, and workshop standards.
• Supervise and mentor workshop technicians, mechanics, and apprentices.
• Support efficient spare-parts management and timely material requisition.

Requirements

• HND / B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in workshop operations, maintenance, and repair, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and repair.
• Good understanding of preventive maintenance planning and inventory control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people-management skills.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.
