Location: Minna, Niger State (Relocation Required)
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and dynamic Assistant Manager- Operations to oversee day-to-day operations, lead floor activities, and optimize resource efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in shift scheduling, workforce monitoring, material control, digital system updates, and strict policy enforcement.

Note: This role is physically based in Minna, Niger State. Candidates living outside Minna must be willing to relocate.
Shift Planning & Workforce Management
- Design, implement, and manage balanced shift schedules to meet operational targets and minimize downtime.
- Allocate human resources efficiently across shifts based on workflow demands, skills, and workload.
- Monitor daily staff attendance, track performance, and handle shift handovers seamlessly.
Staff Supervision & Performance Monitoring
- Directly supervise floor teams, ensuring active productivity, discipline, and high output quality.
- Perform regular evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify staff training needs.
- Address team grievances, enforce workplace ethics, and foster a collaborative environment.
Material & Resource Utilization
- Monitor raw material and inventory usage to eliminate waste and prevent stock shortages or overages.
- Track Human Resource Utilization (HRU) metrics to ensure optimal staff engagement without burnout.
- Implement lean operational strategies to optimize material consumption and improve profit margins.
System Data & Compliance Tracking
- Ensure prompt, accurate, and mandatory logging of operational updates, logs, and production records into company systems.
- Audit digital inputs and reporting systems regularly for data accuracy and compliance.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational KPI reports for executive leadership.
Policy Compliance & Workplace Standards
- Enforce total adherence to internal company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety standards, and operational guidelines.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations are strictly maintained at all facilities.
- Conduct routine operational audits to identify compliance gaps and immediately implement corrective measures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in operations management, production supervision, or workforce management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Management, or a related field (Master's or professional certifications are an added advantage).
- System Proficiency: Strong command of operations management systems, ERP software, and shift scheduling tools.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead diverse teams, resolve conflicts, and enforce accountability.
- Analytical Mindset: Demonstrated ability to monitor resource metrics, optimize processes, and manage data entry compliance.
- Location Flexibility: Must be willing to relocate and reside in Minna, Niger State.
