Job Description
Plan and Deliver Art Lessons
Prepare engaging and age-appropriate lessons in line with the school's curriculum.
Teach pupils a variety of art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, crafts, and design.
Integrate creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving into lessons.
Foster Creativity and Artistic Skills
Encourage pupils to express themselves creatively and confidently.
Develop fine motor skills, observation, imagination, and visual communication.
Help pupils appreciate beauty, craftsmanship, and originality.
Integrate Christian Values
Incorporate biblical principles such as stewardship, gratitude, honesty, respect, and excellence into art lessons.
Use appropriate Christian themes and stories where relevant to inspire artistic work.
Encourage pupils to recognize creativity as a gift from God and to use their talents responsibly.
Assess and Monitor Progress
Evaluate pupils' artistic development through classwork, projects, and portfolios.
Provide constructive feedback that encourages improvement.
Maintain accurate records of pupils' progress and achievement.

Prepare Learning Resources
Source, organize, and maintain art supplies and teaching materials.

Plan creative activities for school events, exhibitions, and competitions.
Support Pupils' Holistic Development
Identify and nurture pupils with exceptional artistic abilities.
Provide encouragement to pupils who need additional support.
Promote confidence, perseverance, and a growth mindset.
Collaborate with Staff and Parents
Work closely with class teachers and school leaders to support pupils' learning.
Communicate pupils' progress with parents during meetings and through reports.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities.
