Api / Automation Engineer At Tezza Business Solutions Ltd

Role Purpose

• Executes and automates the API test suite, and builds and maintains the committed automation regression pack for the programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute API test cases: contract correctness, status codes, schema validation, version and backward-compatibility.
• Build and stabilise mobile UI automation (Appium) and API automation (RestAssured) scripts for the committed automation scope.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD execution waves smoke tests on every build, regression nightly, extended suite pre-release.
• Stand up service-virtualization mocks for third-party payment-rail and identity-verification dependencies during initial environment setup, so early testing isn't blocked by sandbox availability.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrated API test automation experience (RestAssured or equivalent).
• Demonstrated mobile UI automation experience (Appium or equivalent).
• CI/CD pipeline integration experience.
• Candidate must have Nigerian Banking experience.

Required Skills & Tools:

• RestAssured, Postman/Newman, Appium, Java or Kotlin, CI/CD platforms (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

What Success Looks Like:

• Committed automation scope is scripted, stable, and integrated into CI/CD before code freeze; the regression suite runs in hours, not days.
