The Android Developer will design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform, collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality mobile solutions. Daily responsibilities include writing clean and scalable code, integrating APIs and backend services, troubleshooting and debugging issues, and optimizing application performance and responsiveness. The role also involves participating in code reviews, contributing to technical documentation, and staying current with Android development best practices and emerging technologies to improve product quality and user experience.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Android development using Kotlin and/or Java, with experience building and shipping apps to the Google Play Store.
Knowledge of Android SDK, Android Jetpack components, and common architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVP).
Experience integrating RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries, as well as working with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, Material Design guidelines, and responsive layouts for various device types.
Ability to write clean, testable code, with familiarity in unit testing and debugging tools for Android applications.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working in an Agile or Scrum development environment is an added advantage.
Previous work on tech products, startups, or client-facing projects in the tech ecosystem is beneficial.
