Installation & Upgrades: Install new air conditioning, heating, and ventilation units, ensuring all systems conform to specifications and safety codes.
Maintenance & Inspection: Perform routine preventative maintenance (e.g., cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, replacing filters, and inspecting electrical connections) to maximize system efficiency and lifespan.
Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot malfunctions in AC systems, identify root causes, and repair or replace defective parts (such as compressors, thermostats, motors, and fans).
Compliance & Safety: Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, including the proper handling, recovery, and disposal of refrigerants (EPA guidelines).
Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of all repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance tasks performed.
Customer Service: Explain technical issues and repair options clearly to clients or internal stakeholders, providing accurate time and cost estimates.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an HVAC technical training program or apprenticeship is highly preferred.
Certification: HVAC technician license is a major plus.
Experience: 3 - 7 years of proven experience as an AC/HVAC technician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
