Probation reviews help managers assess new hires with a simple, structured process.
Creating a probation review
- Go to Performance Management > Probation Reviews
- Click "Schedule Probation Review"
- Set employee, dates, and review type (30/60/90-day)
Manager workflow
- Managers complete the review with ratings and comments
- Before submitting, managers must pick a final outcome:
- Pass Probation
- Extend Probation
- Fail Probation
After submission
- The completed review is locked and shown in read-only mode
- Administrators and HR specialists can review answers and outcome without editing
- Editing a completed review requires an explicit reopen/edit action
Status flow
- Scheduled -> Active -> Completed (or Expired)
Best practices
- Set dates early
- Submit before due date
- Choose the right final outcome before submitting
