Probation reviews help managers assess new hires with a simple, structured process.

Creating a probation review

  1. Go to Performance Management > Probation Reviews
  2. Click "Schedule Probation Review"
  3. Set employee, dates, and review type (30/60/90-day)

Manager workflow

  • Managers complete the review with ratings and comments
  • Before submitting, managers must pick a final outcome:
    • Pass Probation
    • Extend Probation
    • Fail Probation

After submission

  • The completed review is locked and shown in read-only mode
  • Administrators and HR specialists can review answers and outcome without editing
  • Editing a completed review requires an explicit reopen/edit action

Status flow

  • Scheduled -> Active -> Completed (or Expired)

Best practices

  • Set dates early
  • Submit before due date
  • Choose the right final outcome before submitting
