Does confirming someone's hire during probation actually do anything, or is it just a status label?

Right now, confirming a pass only updates the probation review's status. The confirmation screen describes it as triggering compensation eligibility and benefits enrollment, but that connection isn't built yet, so you'll need to set up compensation and benefits separately until it is.
