A Story is an AI-generated narrative summary of what happened over a period (daily, weekly, or monthly), built from your organization's real activity, performance, engagement, time-off, and other data, not a generic template. Stories require the Stories capability (platform.stories), which is included on Basic/Starter and above and in Careersome Light.
The three scopes
- My Story: your own personal work-pattern and performance narrative (Employee view)
- Team Story: a manager's narrative about their team's performance and health (Manager view)
- Organizational Story: a company-wide narrative about organizational health and trends across teams (Admin view)
There are also more granular story sources behind the scenes (for example time-off, activities, performance, development, engagement, compensation, onboarding, recruitment, and project stories) that feed these narratives.
What a Story contains Each Story includes a short summary, a longer narrative, and structured insights and recommendations you can act on. The narrative that appears at the top of your dashboard ("Today's story") is generated by this same engine.
Data confidence If there is not enough underlying data for a period yet, the Story is marked with reduced confidence rather than inventing detail.
Who sees what
- There is one Story per person/team/org, per period, per scope
- Employees get a My Story; Managers get a Team Story; Admins get the Organizational Story
- Admins do not receive a personal "My Story" or a "Team Story"; those are the Employee and Manager views
Exporting A Story can be exported to PDF for sharing or records.
