I've never used HR software. Where do I start?

Start with people, then one workflow. Open Team Management in the sidebar, add each person with email, role, and who they report to. That reporting manager is what makes leave approvals and team views work. Next, pick one real need: Hire & Onboard → Recruitment to post a job, Onboarding to assign a playbook, Pay & Time → Time Off so people can request leave, or Activities so a Story can appear. Ask this assistant how any screen works, for example how do I request time off or what is a playbook. You do not need every module on day one. On Careersome Light the assistant explains the product; it cannot show live headcount or pending requests until you upgrade.
