We are looking for an experienced National Sales Manager (Veterinary Products) who can lead and develop the national sales team to drive revenue growth for our veterinary products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Sales Leadership:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the national sales strategy for veterinary products in alignment with the company's overall business goals.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Drive territory expansion plans and penetration strategies for underserved regions and market segments.

Team Management & Development:

  • Lead and manage a team of veterinary sales representatives and regional sales officers to ensure performance targets are met or exceeded.
  • Set clear KPIs, monitor team performance, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and product training to enhance the team's knowledge and selling capabilities.
  • Foster a high-performance culture based on accountability, motivation, and continuous improvement.

Key Account & Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including veterinary clinics, distributors, and government agencies.
  • Manage high-value customer accounts and develop customized solutions to meet their needs.
  • Lead negotiations with major clients and ensure top-tier service and satisfaction.

Market Intelligence & Business Development:

  • Conduct regular market research to track competitor activity, pricing, new products, and regulatory changes.
  • Identify new business opportunities, product gaps, and emerging market trends to support innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to align sales efforts with product positioning and promotional campaigns.

Regulatory Compliance & Ethical Sales Practice:

  • Ensure full compliance with local veterinary laws, pharmaceutical guidelines, and ethical sales practices.
  • Work with the regulatory and quality assurance teams to manage product registrations, labeling requirements, and market approvals.
  • Train the sales team on compliance issues and enforce adherence to company policies and industry regulations.

Sales Reporting & Performance Analysis:

  • Prepare accurate and timely sales forecasts, reports, and performance dashboards for senior management.
  • Analyze sales data to evaluate team productivity, customer trends, and the effectiveness of sales strategies.
  • Recommend actionable insights to improve efficiency, optimize resource allocation, and boost profitability.

Budget & Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage the veterinary sales department's annual budget.
  • Control operational costs, monitor expenses, and ensure effective utilization of promotional materials, travel allowances, and marketing resources.
  • Evaluate return on investment (ROI) for all sales activities and campaigns.
  • Liaise with other departments such as Marketing, Product Development, Finance,

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, or a related field (MBA an added advantage).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in veterinary sales or animal health industry.
  • At least 3 years in a sales leadership or managerial role.
  • In-depth understanding of veterinary products, animal health market dynamics, and distribution channels.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
