Description
- Support the implementation of master data management initiatives & centre of excellence in line with vision, strategy and roadmap
- Work with source system custodians to identify & map attributes, keys, lines of business, services, business rules, validation rules and exceptions required to manage master data assets
- Facilitate the creation and maintenance of master data following established data governance policies, principles, guidelines and business rules and in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- Support the documentation and implementation of master data business rules and exceptions as it relates to the creation and maintenance of master data assets
- Develop and maintain data lineage
- Support the Master Data Management (MDM) ecosystem, including MDM tool configuration, cleansing & operating process improvement including integration with 3rd party services and data sets
- Perform quality assurance activities including user acceptance testing on master data management initiatives as well as in post-implementation
- Serve as subject matter expert on specific master data asset(s), taxonomy, attributes and business rules & exceptions
- Build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders for projects and operations
- Support the development of methods for monitoring and reporting on defined MDM KPIs
- Perform operational oversight on MDM services and lead the review and resolution of related exceptions and data quality issues that arise from daily MDM operations
- Support the organization and delivery of effective messaging through information sessions relevant to the effective enterprise wide rollout and maintenance of master data capability
- Ensure that all data operations are aligned to the enterprise data strategy, data initiatives are synchronized where possible
- Collaborate closely with other teams within the CDO office to ensure consistency and a synchronized approach to all data related issues
- Support other related project initiatives as a project resource as appropriate
Qualifications
Education Requirements:- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or other relevant Science disciplines
Experience and Associated skillset:
- 0 to 3 years working experience preferably in data management related roles
- Experience with business systems
- SQL and programming skills
- Exposure to data quality management principles
- An understanding of master data management
- Experience with MDM applications preferred
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Some exposure to project management principles and practices is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong conflict management skills
- Strong attention to details and good time-management skills
