About the Junior Data Analyst Role

We are looking for a driven, passionate, and committed individual to join the team as we grow and expand across Africa and beyond.

As our Junior Data Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to provide support and assistant to the team in growing the business of the company through data analytics.

What Your Day to Day Activities Will Be Like

• Extract, clean, validate, and store consistent data
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly revenue and product performance reports
• Maintain and update commercial dashboards including monitoring budget performance
• Compare and analyze real-time results with plans and forecasts to evaluate revenue performance reports
• Compile analytical reports and identify relevant insights for sound decision making
• Provide revenue data for stakeholders
• Assist in evaluating new data assets and capabilities, including analyzing data and developing implementation prototypes
• Perform exploratory data analysis, generating and testing working hypotheses, and uncovering trends and insights including new capabilities from our data infrastructure
• Recommend actions for business optimization based on trend analysis and forecast
• Liaise with other departments to ensure accurate reporting & support decision making

Required competency and skillset to be a waver

• Good knowledge and understanding of the organisation’s product and service offerings
• Good working knowledge of data visualizations tools i.e. Power BI
• Ability to use statistical programming languages, such as spreadsheets, SQL, Oracle, R or Python and Tableau
• Excellent analytic and data reporting skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
• Excellent leadership/supervisory and people management skills
• Excellent relationship management skills
• Entry-level experience (0-2 years)
