The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable applicants for the position below at the Institute’s Headquarters in Ibadan:

Position: Information Communication & Technology Officer

Contract: 3-year renewable contract Location: Ibadan

Duties
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:

• Initiate and manage the project’s technology infrastructure including implementation and management of the software applications and hardware infrastructure that support operations;
• Support the recruitment of trainees using the online platform;
• Create and maintain the database of trained youths;
• Develop ICT solutions to support project implementation and agri-business startups using ICT tools to participate in project implementation;
• Update and maintain the ICT equipment inventory;
• Perform needs assessment for new applications and modifications to existing ones;
• Capacity development to improve digital skills of project beneficiaries on computer software and ICT systems;
• Assist with preparation of operating budgets based on estimated and actual expenditures for ICT systems and support needs;
• Update of the Youth in Agribusiness website to accommodate information on the project;
• Assist in the compilation of reports for meetings, trainings and project activities;
• Perform any other function as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

• B.Sc/HND in Computer Science, Statistics or related field with minimum of two (2) years' experience performing similar or related roles.

• Have experience in developing ICT related tools for promoting agribusiness;
• Have experience in capturing events and reporting agribusiness related activities;
• Have good working knowledge of MS Office packages
• Have ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in a cross-cultural environment;
• Have excellent oral and writing communication skills.
