Brickstone is an Infrastructure Accelerator with strong competence in early stage project development for large industrial and infrastructure projects. We are hiring a Digital Content Designer in Lagos.

The role requires candidate to technical knowledge in the field of the Visual Design and a sound knowledge of Video Editing & Motion Graphics practices. In addition, you will be required to demonstrate an understanding of WordPress Website Management.

The role reports to the Manager/Senior Manager/Head in the Corporate Development & Communication Division. This role is critical to fulfilling Brickstone Corporate Development & Communication goals and objectives. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills. The person must have excellent client facing skills and a proactive and quality-led, enthusiastic approach.

Position Responsibilities

A. Visual Content Design

• Works on a variety of products and activities, such as websites, advertising, books, magazines, posters, product packaging, exhibitions, and displays.
• Creates visual concepts, using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers and agents.
• Develop the overall layout and production design for social media, brochures, magazines, and monthly corporate reports.
• Manage Brickstone Group’s digital Poster, Banners and AdvertisingDesign
• Develop visual design content around Brickstone Group’s investments, grants and partnerships;
• Compile and manage Brickstone Group’s design archives—both online and offline mentions;

Skills:Experience with the latest versions of Canva, Adobe InDesign, Corel Draw, Photoshop as well as with the Microsoft Office suite.

B. Basic Video Editing & Motion Graphics

• Assists in designing and creating storyboards and scripts.
• Designs and delivers high quality motion graphics optimized for video/web/social media dissemination.
• Selects, edits, and incorporates third party content (stills, footage, music, graphics, etc.) as needed.
• Retouches, corrects, and color-grades video and photo content.
• Ensures all produced material is correctly optimized for chosen dissemination (web, social media, large presentation screen, social media).

Skills: Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator required

C. Wordpress Website Management

Responsible for implementing design and technical changes to WordPress websites under the direction of the Head of Division or CEO

Skills: WordPress CMS, WordPress theme optimization, Integrating plugins, modifying plugins, etc, HTML and CSS coding languages, General web development/web design.

Key Requirements

• Minimum Educational Level: OND/ BSc
• A strong portfolio of design work done
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality is key.

• Reside in Ojodu-Berger, Omole, Alausa or Lagos Mainland Environs
• Maximum Age: 32 years
