• Musician Job Description

    A musician is someone whose job is to play, perform, conduct or compose music. They may perform music live on-stage or in a recording studio, performing as part of a band, a soloist, or a backing musician. Musicians usually specialize in a particular music genre, such as hip hop, rock and roll, classical, blues, jazz or country music.

    A musician should be enthusiastic, self-confident, creative, disciplined, diligent and determined, and have a good perception of rhythm and timing. They should have critical-thinking and self-learning skills and the willingness to keep developing their musical skills. They should also be friendly and able to relate to a wide range of people.

    Pursue a career in music if you have creativity and imagination, musical talent and a strong determination to succeed. You should be someone who enjoys performing in front of an audience.

They may also travel and be away from home for an extended period of time.
