An accountant is someone who is employed by a person or an organization to manage their financial documentations. Their job involves monitoring and recording financial transactions, analyzing financial reports and performance, creating a cash flow forecast, and computing taxes owed and preparing tax returns.
An accountant should be sharp-witted, accurate, reliable and trustworthy, and have the ability to think analytically and approach problems in a methodical and organized manner. They should be able to communicate effectively to express themselves clearly and explain information to others in the simplest of ways. They should also be confidential and understand their clients and the type of business they operate.
