What is a Civil Engineering Technician?

A civil engineering technician is a person who works under the direction of a civil engineer and assist them in planning and designing structures such as dams, roads, highways, bridges, tunnels or waste water systems.

A civil engineering technician should be creative, analytical, practical and methodical, and have the ability to communicate effectively. They should be good at mathematics and able to use computer-aided design software (CAD) to design and plan constructions.
